Secondary Water

Secondary Water Information & 2026 Season Outlook

2026 Water Year Assessment & Fees

Secondary water assessments for the 2026 season have been set. These fees cover the operation, maintenance, and infrastructure requirements of our town's secondary water system.

  • BIA Fee: $25.00 per acre

  • Residential Assessment: $300.00 per year

  • AG (Agricultural) Assessment: $61.98

  • One-Time Hookup Fee: $500.00 (for new connections)

  • Reconnect Fee: $100.00 (applicable for service restoration following non-payment)

Current Water Restrictions

As of the start of the 2026 season, there are currently no mandatory water restrictions in place. However, residents should remain mindful that our winter season was unseasonably dry. Because our water supply relies heavily on snowpack and reservoir levels, restrictions may be imposed as the year progresses if drought conditions persist or water levels drop faster than anticipated.

We ask all residents to use secondary water responsibly to help delay or avoid the need for mandatory conservation measures later this summer.

Watering Guidelines & Best Practices

To help maintain our water supply, we encourage residents to follow the Weekly Lawn Watering Guide provided by the Utah Division of Water Resources. This guide is updated regularly based on current weather patterns and evaporation rates.

Conservation Tips:

  • Avoid watering during the heat of the day: Water between 6:00 PM and 10:00 AM to reduce evaporation.

  • Don’t water in the wind: High winds blow water onto sidewalks and streets rather than your lawn.

  • Check your timers: Ensure your irrigation clock is set correctly and hasn't been reset by power surges.

  • Monitor the weather: If rain is in the forecast, turn off your system for 24–48 hours.

Updates & Notifications

Should the town need to implement water restrictions (such as specific watering days or time limits), notifications will be posted here on the town website, posted around town, and posted on social media pages.
