Poll Workers needed
All election processes are dependent upon the contributions of ordinary citizens who ensure their smooth operation and the accurate tabulation of every vote—individuals such as yourself. The Town of Altamont Election Office relies on dedicated and reliable teams of poll workers to facilitate a positive experience on every Election Day. By registering as a Poll Worker with the Town of Altamont, you contribute to ensuring that all voters—including those with disabilities, those requiring language assistance, and those wishing to cast their ballot in person—receive the necessary support.
Regardless of whether an election is local, state, or federal, each is crucial in ensuring that our laws and policies accurately reflect the values and beliefs of our communities.

Duties
As a Poll Worker, you will:
- Assist voters with the check-in process.
- Manage voter queues.
- Provide directions and assistance.
- Support various office tasks.
- Adhere strictly to instructions mandated by State Law and Duchesne County Policy.
- Provide assistance to voters from diverse backgrounds.
- Maintain political neutrality.
- Aid the Vote Center Lead in the setup and takedown of the polling location.
- Offer assistance or instruction to voters regarding voting machine navigation.
Eligibility
Poll Workers must meet the following criteria:
- Be residents of the Town of Altamont.
- Be 17 years of age or older.
- Be registered voters.
- Be available to work from 8:45 A.M. to 1:45 P.M. on October 23, 29, 30, and 31 for Early Voting.
- Be available to work from 6:45 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. on Election Day.
- Be capable of sitting or standing for extended durations.
- Be present at all mandatory meetings.
