NOTICE OF MIDTERM ALTAMONT TOWN COUNCIL VACANCY REQUEST FOR APPLICATION OF APPOINTMENT
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a Midterm Town Council Vacancy. Any person interested in serving as a Town Council member and who meets the following eligibility and residency requirements is hereby invited to submit an application of interest and conflict of interest disclosure. The appointed Town Council member will serve through the vacated term of Glen Jessen ending December 31, 2026.
Eligibility and Residency Requirements: Candidates must:
- be a registered voter in Altamont Town, the municipality in which the individual is seeking to be appointed;
- have resided within the municipality for the past 12 consecutive months;
- commit to maintain a principle/primary residence within the municipality during this term of office;
- not be declared mentally incompetent;
- not be convicted of a felony; and
- provide a completed conflict of interest disclosure at least three days before being interviewed for this office.

Application Deadline: The application must be submitted online and received by Friday, February13 , 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
The Town Council will hold a public meeting on February 18, 2026, to interview eligible candidates. It is anticipated that the Town Council will make the appointment at their regular meeting on February 18, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. This meeting will take place in the Town office, 15588 W. 4000 N., Altamont UT 84001, The appointed Town Council member will serve Until December 31. 2027. Polling Location and dropbox for Municipal General Election In accordance with Utah Code 20A-5-303(6), Town of Altamont provides notice of the official polling location for the upcoming municipal election: In person voting October 23rd and October 29t -31st 9am-1pm November 4th 7am-8pm Altamont Town office, 15588 W 4000 N.
This location will serve the following voting precincts: AL12
All in-person voting on Election Day will be held at this location.
